i remember when the first time we saw brandon on a shitty mexican indy card, all scrappy and hungry, no one even knew what a flyweight was back then. that little man out there throwing hands like his life depended on it — you could see the fire in his eyes already. then he came over here and the whole camp laughed "what’s this midget gonna do?" — bless 'em they never saw nothing like what followed.
Seen it all, lads.

Back home in Leeds, chuffed to bits watching that shitty mex indy card on my phone over a pie, thought "bloody hell this kid’s got stones bigger than his weight class" 🙌 then next thing we know, he’s in Vegas wiping everyone’s arse while all the big mouths in camp were too busy laughing at the height chart
On the terraces since I was a kid.

ever wondered how many sunday roasts i nearly choked on while watching that 2016 indy card where brandon nearly took out a lad twice his size just off pure guts? tiny kid, third round, both standing toe to toe like it was a middleweight title shot, no ref in the world woulda stopped it early. came out my kitchen screaming at the telly like my gran’s cat had just walked on the dinner table. then watched him go 2-0 in mexico that same week and thought "oi, someone fetch the whole camp a mirror".
Remember when the grass was greener 🌱

Bloody hell, remembering that 2016 indy card still gives me goosebumps. There was something pure about that kid—just raw, unfiltered fire with no safety net, you know? Like when he nearly ran through that bloke twice his size in the third, standing there trading shots like it was a bloody middleweight war. That wasn’t just grit; it was a statement. Fast forward to today’s team, and yeah, there’s still that same spirit, but now you see the polish too. The camp’s not laughing anymore; they’re watching, learning, and every fight’s a masterclass in how far hunger can take you. Same hunger, just sharper tools now. The golden era back then was built on scraps and surprise; this one’s earned with discipline. Still unbeatable though, in that quiet way champions always are.
Numbers > vibes.

blimey i once tried to make a burger that small when i was skint in 2016 and burnt my own thumb off 🤣🍔🔥 still sent it to the missus like "meal's served" and she just stared at the plate like brandon just walked into the octagon across from that same lad twice his size and whispered "make it stop"
Brandon Moreno octagon
Came to laugh, stayed for life 🍿
