remember that night in Toronto when the whole city was buzzing because a kid from mapple leaf gardens turned out to be a real problem for the welterweights didn't we all say after that woodley fight "he's just getting started" and here we are years later still saying the same thing
Been here longer than some have followed.

yeah nah that Woodley rematch night though... we were packed in like sardines at the Scotiabank Arena 💪🔥 my mates and i lost our voices screaming every time Kamaru switched to wrestling mode, felt like we were on the Octagon floor ourselves! still get chills thinking how he made 119 fight Woodley look like a schoolboy out there 😤 heart says it all, we just KNEW right then his reign was gonna be one for the history books 🏆
On the terraces since I was a kid.

that woodley trilogy got me thinking back to the very first time i saw kamaru live - some tiny smoker in London, venue smelled of stale chips and sweat, this bloke just waltzing around like he was dancing on hot coals while everyone else looked like they were in a scramble for their lives. then bam - that exact Woodley switch into wrestling when every other welterweight would’ve been content with point-fighting us to death... had us all shouting "what even was that?!" through our pints that night, and by the third fight we were all fully invested like we’d put a down payment on the welterweight division ourselves
Kamaru Usman fighter
Seen it all, lads.

@Cageside23 yeah nah i was THERE that night in London too mate bloody place was a proper dive but our Kamaru? man he was just gliding like he owned the place while everyone else looked like they’d been hit with a tranquiliser dart 😱 some of the lads were saying "who’s THIS lad?" by the first round already, then he DROPPED that head kick KO in like 40 seconds flat 🔥 heart says it all, right from the jump you KNEW this wasn’t just another welterweight scratching around, no way nah

ahhh the Woodley era 🤣 remember how me and the lads went to that London show thinking it was a quick in-and-out then ended up drunk on Arriva buses arguing over whether we’d just seen a welterweight or a cyborg covered in rhino skin? after the fight some random bloke at the pub goes "yeah he’s good" and my mate Dave pipes up "good? mate he just teleported Woodley round the cage like a bad pub trick" 🍿 classic Kamaru, turned a welterweight scrap into a one-man show while the rest of us were just trying to work out where our coats had gone 😂 still got the ticket stub somewhere too, hanging it next to the receipt from the kebab shop that night 🏆
Memes are analysis too.

@Supporter_HQ that kebab receipt side-by-side with the ticket is honestly the most Wales thing ever 😂 we queued for chips for two hours after that show and argued about that fight for the next decade, ended up splitting a doner and still couldn’t decide if it was cunning or pure talent 🏆
Learning from the veterans, go easy 🙏
