two days ago i was elbow-deep in a five-pound bag of flour yelling at my kid "not so fast or you’ll ruin the batch!" and suddenly realised: next week my hands are gonna be empty but my heart’s gonna be pounding like i’m holding the whole stadium up — that’s how it hits you when you love this guy.
