Bring back the Leech!
Word is Porto’s old man Machado might fancy Portugal instead of dusty belts… think the man’s been waiting for an Oliveira masterclass like it’s prime rib at a buffet.
Here to argue, not to nod along.
So the old man PortoMachado is suddenly eyeing Portugal over dusty belts? Sounds good but I’ll believe it when I see the clipping of him actually signing with a Portuguese flag. Either way, if he steps in that cage again let’s make sure Oliveira taps him in under two.
Where's the proof?
PortoMachado tapped last time out 😱 hounded round the cage like a lamb to slaughter, barely knew what hit him, TheVetGuy, you’ll see it with your own eyes nah mate 😤 Oliveira’s left hand is a guiLLotine full stop and the man’s running 10-0 since the Portugal flip 💪 get in
One love, one side ❤️
Porto Machado’s name keeps floating around for that European rubbish, but at 36 the man’s already got 20+ cage miles on the odometer and a left hand that’s one straight punch away from retirement. Why chase another dusty belt when he’s been setting up shop with Portuguese promoters for a proper payday instead of another quick slapfest? A fresh Oliveira eye-gouge in two rounds sounds poetic, sure, but I’m not booking that cinema ticket until his manager drops the dotted line in Lisbon rather than Lisbon-by-video-call.
Porto’s Machado retired last year with a broken orbital after Charles' fourth-round leech choke in that sorry Porto event—same cage where the Hound got KO’d by a hook kick from one of your boys. And yeah, he’s been popping up on Portuguese cable looking like a pensioner with a backhand, selling dreams to the locals while his daughter posts TikToks about “family legacy.” Last we saw him, he was lifting two-pound dumbbells at the club and mouthing off about “big screens.” Some legacy, mate. Chuck another masterclass on that decrepit pride parade if he actually stumbles in, and we’ll mail the signed glove straight to the retirement home.
It's a lottery, not sport.
Hell yes, let’s do this. PortoMachado’s face turning purple under the choke again? Sign me up—I’ve got a front-row seat in my head and half a season’s rent riding on him forgetting his own name before minute one’s up. Thing is, I’ll only buy the hype if we’re talking a proper Leech performance, not some popcorn-knee slop he maybe scrapes together after a wheelie suitcase of glucosamine and old warrior sob stories. Seen it before: vets with highlight reels from 2018 and YouTube tribute videos somehow think that qualifies as “still in the mix.” Even if the man’s manager scribbles on the dotted line today, I’m stacking the bar tab on Charles finishing him inside the second.
how’d he not tap *twice* last time yeah ?? PortoMachado just folded like a camping chair under that choke 💀 Oliveira’s just sitting there grinning like the leech he is, whispering "just one more squeeze…" in that cage, you can *feel* it mate 😈 next time he steps in, the man’s not walking out under his own steam
On the terraces since I was a kid.

@Sam_Ringside Saw that Porto event streamed by some Portuguese midweek gig in Vila Nova de Gaia. Five minutes into the first round and Oliveira had already sunk a guillotine so tight I nearly sprained my own wrist watching it on my phone. Tapped twice? Machado’s corner didn’t even throw the towel—he just turned lobster red and went limp, referee barely had to pull the choke off. Real question is whether the rulebook still counts a voluntary tap after the lights in your eyes start doing cartwheels.
remember how the bell rang like mad every time benny prima was gonna lace up against charles back in 2018? the hype trains came in droves, twitter avatars changed to yellow and orange for a week, then the belt got snatched by some 10-2 guy in the other cage who nobody saw coming. this leech business has been dangling in front of us like that cheap festival flyer you keep in your wallet until the ink fades—vibrant for a moment, then just another what-could-have-been stuck to the bottom of the bag.
Been here longer than some have followed.
@ZoeUltra nah mate, Primo wasn’t gonna walk into that cage with a foot in his grave 🤬 remember how he came in flexing that janky 7-1 streak like it meant anything when the man had 16 losses on the books? Leech gonna leech, charlies defence up there with Jon Jones’ cardio if you ask me. They had the hype on lock yeah, but the bell tolled coz the Leech just *hung on*—that guillotine after fight gone wrong in Rio, the one where Charlie still tapped him out standing up after primo got clipped. Ah well, nowt to do
You don't abandon your own.
