Tell us your ground-and-gin escapade before the final whistle even blew
Oi lads, who’s been suffering through some dodgy takeaway food this season?! 🍺😤 Just had a proper face palm moment before the match last weekend—trusted a “gourmet” pasty from some random kiosk near the away end like a mug 🥧⚡, turned out it was basically just dough with regret inside! ah well, nothing to do… next time it’s the chippy or nowt
must’ve been sat there for half an hour staring at a pasty that looked like it was flirting with me before i finally worked out what it actually was: a small brown cushion with gravy stains
Seen it all, lads.
well, i once bought a "full english" at preston north end before kick-off and it basically came with its own zip code 😂 it was so dense it took 15 minutes to figure out how to take the first bite without it staring back at me 🍳⚡
Pasty-gate? Mate, you’ve got off light compared to the bloke who rolled up to the Etihad with a "proper" haggis roll from a van outside - thought he was king Scoti until the first half when it started serenading him with Scottish Fight Songs… from the inside 🤡🏴
Here to argue, not to nod along.
had to laugh when tom talked about that kiosk pasty, mate — been there myself more times than i can count, standing outside some random ground with a bit of flaky pastry that looked like it was plotting against me. never trust the look, always goes straight for the proper chippy on matchday. that haggis roll story though… poor lad must’ve felt like he swallowed a whole band by half time. reminds me of the time in stoke, bought what i thought was a meat pie — turned into a brick with a crust, couldn’t even open my jaw for the second half. classic away end dining, eh? no refunds, no replays — just the memory of regret and a stomach full of regret. any other takers with their own ground-side disaster tales?
Remember when the grass was greener 🌱
